We are tired. David stepped on my foot today. Dawson woke up twice last night but it is so good to be home. We walked every mile of the 60 miles. I have pictures and stories to share but I am still waiting for my coffee to kick in. Dave took a vacation day today to catch up on rest and schoolwork. I honestly think we could have slept most of the day. (And maybe tomorrow too)
I was interviewed by CBS news yesterday about 2 minutes before we walked into the closing ceremony. Of course, the interview was much longer than the clip but they definitely picked the best part. There is also a shot of Dave and I walking in together. I have had my 13 seconds of fame!

We are very proud of both of you. I was watching news clips hoping to catch you walking by. What a wonderful surprise to see they picked you to highlight on the newscast . . . and why wouldn't they!!! Our prayers and love were with you and continue as you go for your CT scan this week. Our God is an awesome God with wonderful plans for you!
We love you guys,
L J & Chris
Great job! I was looking for a glimpse on anyone I knew (knew about 4 walkers) but didn't see anyone on channel 6 abc last night. What an amazing event for you to take part in especially while undergoing treatment! You are a true inspiration!

Congratulations, Barbara and Dave! Our family was in the Fairmount Park area on Saturday, and we saw many walkers. It was such an inspiring sight!
Hope you can catch up on your rest this week.

Barb, that clip of you made me teary! How awesome that they chose someone as eloquent as you to interview. Congrats on your amazing accomplishment and for inspiring others!
What an accomplishment! You guys are so inspiring. It was great to see you and cheer for you on Friday. My sister sent me the link with the news clip. I am sure that God will use your words to touch so many who see the news clip as He has done through your blog here. Praying for your CT scan and your rest and recovery from the walk. (Did you get your mail there? I didn't think to say anything on Friday, but I found out today that Keira's teacher didn't get hers since she didn't know there would be any. I did tell my sister to look for hers when I spoke with her Friday evening.)
