A Day of Thankfulness and Sadness

Barbara is resting in her hospital room right now. I hope she has a good night's rest. She made it through the surgery.

We are thanking God because he gave her the wisdom to pursue a bilateral mastectomy. It's a good thing she did, because the surgical team found new active cancer cells in some of the lymph nodes that were extracted from her right side. They will be sent off to the lab for further analysis to determine whether they are of the same type she has had or if she has a new type.

Please keep us in your prayers.

We were thinking of you and your entire family, all day yesterday. You were and continue to be in our prayers. We love you and are hoping and praying for as smooth a recovery as possible.

How did life become so serious all of the sudden? It seems like yesterday we were all so carefree that the biggest concern was where to go out to dinner. But it wasn't yesterday, it has taken years to get to this point. Each day being built up and formed to be able to address these serious times and along with those years it seems we were given wisdom to know when we need help and ask for it. We've experienced years together through the good and now the not so good. The common denominator... God is good all the time. Barb you pictured God walking next to you going into the Dr.s office. Let him carry you now and be satisfied in that. We love you. I am so thankful for where God has brought us all.

In His grace,
Bud
